They made RS/SS cars. The hideaway headlights were part of the RS pack, not the Z28. The Z28 had stripes down the center of it, not on the side like this. There also was never an SS option for the Z28 and it came with a 302, not a 396. Unless the owner just put the wrong stripes and badges, it's probably an SS. Not being confrontational, just spreading some info.

those are also both RS cars. The SS grill was black except on on a black car. The Z/28 never had a unique grille it used the base silver grille

I put both RS, because he stated it had different headlights. But if you look at his picture, it is in fact an SS.
